Before you authorise Grant Help

Set up MyID and link your business in RAM

This guide walks you through setting up a MyID, linking your business in the Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM), and then authorising Grant Help on the AusIndustry Portal.

← Back to the main AusIndustry guide

Already have MyID and RAM set up? Skip straight to Step 3.

Three steps

From identity to authorisation

1

Set up your MyID

(skip if already completed)

Before you can authorise Grant Help, you need a MyID.

  1. Download the MyID app from the App Store or Play Store.
  2. Open the app and enter your full name, date of birth, and email address.
  3. Choose an identity strength: select Strong, which requires verification with Australian Government-issued identity documents.

No Strong-level documents on hand? Don't wait or try to proceed without them. Reach out to Jasper immediately and we'll work out the right way forward with you.

For more detail, see the official MyID setup guide.

2

Link your business in RAM

(skip if already completed)

Once your MyID is set up, link your business in the Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM).

ABR requirement: to link your business in RAM, you must be listed as an Associate (e.g. Director, Public Officer) on the Australian Business Register. The name and address you enter must exactly match what's on the ABR. Update it there first at abr.business.gov.au if it's out of date.

  1. Visit the Relationship Authorisation Manager.
  2. Log in using your MyID credentials.
  3. Select "Link my business" and follow the prompts. You'll be redirected to the ATO website.
  4. Enter the postal or residential address on record (see note below), select the correct business, and verify it with the code sent to your email.
  5. Once verified, RAM confirms your business is linked and you can set up authorisations for others to act on its behalf.

Which address? Not your current address. Enter the postal or residential address you were using when the business was incorporated, or when you were appointed as director or associate, since that's what RAM checks it against.

3
